A new grant is available from Shropshire Council of up to £15k to help protect community assets in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. They could be community hubs, community-owned pubs, shops or other social venues. Village halls and community sports facilities may also be supported, particularly if they can't access other grant schemes or haven't previously been supported with Shropshire Council's Covid grant support
The impact of Covid-19 has prompted concerns over the sustainability of some community assets. These community services and buildings are vitally important in achieving post-pandemic recovery, rebuilding local social networks, and maintaining strong rural communities.
