Sudden closures of the B4386 and other roads.
The sudden closures of the B4386 have become very trying for everyone. They give no notice, they extend already used closures and close roads early with no Diversions in place. The Parish Council and I have complained – and I have more than once. It is inconvenient, it causes chaos on the side roads and people who do not know the area get lost. Taxi services taking young people with learning difficulties to training are turned back and the men on the barriers can be very unhelpful – to say the least.
We are not aware of further closures and if I receive them I will send them out as soon as possible. The Clerk puts them on the Worthen with Shelve website.
This is totally unacceptable from Kier and we are working hard to make sure their communications are improved.
This has also happened in Snailbeach and Stiperstones with potholing.
