I received this today from Shropshire Council:
Shropshire Council’s waste and recycling and contractor Veolia has so far been able to maintain all its household collection services for garden waste, recycling and general rubbish. However, an increasing number of Veolia staff are having to self-isolate and it is therefore likely that there may be some disruption to the collection services in the near future.
If this is the case, the first service to be affected would be garden waste. If garden waste collections within some areas do not take place, please take your wheelie bin back in and present it again on your next collection day.
Residents who recycle their food waste in their green wheelie bin will be able to place food waste into your general rubbish black wheelie bin until the service returns to full capacity.
