ROADS MEETING PRIEST WESTON

July 30, 2018 5:33 PM

Dear All

Thank you very much for the excellent turn out the other night I was really delighted to see you all and even more delighted with your passion to get your roads around Priest Weston put in working order after all these months. You put your case very well indeed.

It was also good that Steve Brown from Shropshire Council could attend to listen to your concerns, ideas and more besides! Such a pity the Portfolio Holder was unable to hear your anger.

This is what I believe he agreed to:

  • The Roadmaster will be in the area in the next 2 weeks. - please let me know if you see it and tell me what it actually achieves.
  • I will be told in the next few days what the plan for the collapsed culvert in Chirbury Lane is, and then when it is likely to be put right and the road reopened.
  • The Whittery road surface will be investigated and I will push for reinstatement. Steve did not promise anything on that!! Signage would be good too.
  • Steve will investigate to poor response to compensation claims for vehicle damage.
  • I will keep in touch with you and relay all developments.
  • I have sent out a press release from tonight.
  • The Parish Council will discuss tomorrow night.

Do keep in touch with me too on new potholes and any developments.

I also thank a number of people for their apologies.

Heather
