I am told that the Roadmaster road repair vehichle will be in the Priest Weston area in the week on 16 – tomorrow . please let me know if this is the case.
I am unsure as to whether it will be able to deal with this huge sunken hole in Chirbury Lane. No-one has confirmed or denied it – as yet.
The road was closed because several people have pulled over to avoid it and have hit the sharp rocks in the bank. This has taken the walls of their tyres out. Pretty dangerous.
What is unacceptable is that it seems to be impossible to get dates from the new contractor (KIER) for any work being done – let alone really urgent work.
I will keep the pressure up and as soon as I hear more I will let you know.
