Dear All

We have very considerable issues around road safety in Brockton and Worthen and have done for years. Now with 3 schools on one site we have an even greater duty to solve this.

I will be holding a meeting (and with your Parish Councillors) for anyone interested

on Saturday 17th March

at 10am - 12 noon.

This will be at Worthen Village Hall.

The meeting will discuss:

  • Ways to improve pedestrian safety. Both the BOAT in Back Lane and the pavement widths
  • The speed of the traffic
  • HGV's
  • Campaigns to help us achieve this.

Shropshire Council is set to lose a further £5million from the Highways budget next year and the year after. Countryside are also facing a spending freeze and cuts. We will need to find some innovative ways to achieve safety for everyone living here and those using its services.

Come along with your ideas. I know you have plenty! .
