Many people and business lack a decent broadband connection in our area and we have been campaigning very hard to improve matters.
Whilst on the face of it this is good news, a good many people in Shropshire will want to know where the money will be spent and how quickly. We also need to know where BT/Shropshire Council are looking at putting fibre direct into the home – something even the government says should now be seen as the gold standard for broadband.
“Its also critical that this money in spent on reaching residents in broadband ‘not spots’ and not beefing up suburban areas that already have adequate coverage”
