Shropshire Council is currently carrying our reviews into:
1. Provision of hot meals via the meals on wheels service
2. Library vans
3. Schools
Cllr Heather Kidd added “I’m glad to hear that the Council have stopped ringing up pensioners to ‘assess’ their needs for meals. However many of us are very suspicious that all these reviews have been delayed beyond the date of a general election. The fear is that having failed to get cuts through in March, the Council might be trying to bring them in by the back door at a later date. The Council should come clean and hold an open review as soon as possible.”
Peter is writing to the Councils Chief Executive to urge that the reviews be speeded up.
