Consultation on Shropshire’s Crisis Budget

Money is very tight at Shropshire Council.
Please take part in this consultation – it is about spending our money.
Shropshire Council has launched its budget consultation for 2025/26, to hear the views of as many people as possible as it plans to overcome its financial challenge.

You can find the survey here: www.shropshire.gov.uk/budget25

The sections ask questions that cover many services not least about your waste collection possibly moving to a 3 weekly frequency, charging more for care and spending money on a number of things such as our very own SpArC leisure centre. There are other important areas too.

Please use this opportunity to say what you think about these ideas.
Copies of the consultation document are also available at the following Shropshire Council libraries: Bayston Hill, Brirth, Church Stretton, The Lantern (Shrewsbury), Ludlow, Market Drayton, Much Wenlock, Oswestry, Pontesbury, Shrewsbury and Wem and at Shropshire Local centres in Ludlow, Shrewsbury and mobile services. I hope in Bishops Castle Library too.

The consultation is available at www.shropshire.gov.uk/budget25 and runs until Sunday 26 January 2025.
