Winter Fuel Allowance – From this year the winter fuel allowance will only be available to people on means tested benefits one of which is Pension Credit. People aged over 66 with income of approx. less than £235 per week ( single) or £350 per week ( a couple both aged over 66) may be eligible for Pension Credit and are advised to submit a claim as soon as possible .
