Claim Pension Tax Credit.
In these tough times I am concerned that some people are not claiming benefits that they are entitled to . There are 1.8 million eligible people across the UK not claiming this Pension Credit. Not only could it provide some extra household income to address rising food and fuel costs but it may also mean entitlement to other benefits such as a free TV licence or help with rent and council tax. Hope School Site Housing.
Both the Councils housing company – Cornovii and the STAR Housing have now said that they cannot afford to develop the site because of the difficult drainage issues on the site. I will be speaking to the Property Services Department of Shropshire Council as a matter of urgency about the future of the School building and the site.
Chirbury Affordable Homes.
This has been given draft approval but is awaiting the pre-commencement conditions. No building can start until those are signed off. Hard work is now going on to make sure this can happen as soon as possible and builders can be appointed. It is hoped that it will all begin by October. The barns may well come down at some point before that and the hedge around the new road could be taken out very soon to avoid nesting birds.
