COUNCIL SERVICES
It’s no secret that, after the massive cutbacks of recent years, council services across the board are not as efficient as they were. In our area this has often manifested itself in the speed that basic repairs and maintenance are done. Council officers do their best but are working under very trying circumstances.

If you report a damaged sign, pothole or blocked drain to me I will report it within a few hours (usually by e-mail) to the relevant Council Department. What I can’t do however, is oversee the progress (or lack of it!) in ALL the ongoing complaints across our very large rural council division.

So if you have reported a fault or problem to me and the job remains undone after a few weeks PLEASE get back to me and. I will chase them up. Obviously get back to me sooner if the issue becomes more serious.
