Worthen with Shelve Parish Council and I had a meeting today (14th Feb) with Richard Drew from Apollo, the people developing the Worthen Doctors surgery. I realise that not all of you will be patients at the Worthen Doctors but nearly all villages have some patients.
There are a number of important points that came forward. These are:-
· The new Surgery was given funding on 18 January this year by the National Commissioning Body.
· The Surgery will be developed next to the Primary School and will be sideways on to the road.
· The number of car parking spaces have been increased to 27
· The planning application should go in for April this year.
· It will be hopefully be given permission by July/August
· The building should be complete by February / March 2014.
· This means that it will take around 12 months start to finish.
· There will be serious consideration given to a bus shelter.
· There are NO associated houses being built.
The Parish Council and I am delighted to be supporting this really great new facility for the community.
