A490 – Officers at the Council are in working with Kier to arrange for a localised repair on the A490. They have discussed potential solutions, and they are awaiting finalised options and proposals.
Provided this progresses as they anticipate they hope to be starting work this summer. They say they will keep us informed of developments with this scheme.
I am touching wood, crossing fingers, and NOT holding my breath. It really does need to happen now.
The road will not now be moved over as it adds to the time it will take and to the costs! Its already been nearly 5 years!
A488 – Hope Valley slips have had delays due to environmental considerations. They are now confident they’ll be able to resolve both slips there at the same time albeit they can’t be precise about timeframes at the moment.
I am waiting for more detail and will get back to you as I hear more and about the Brockton Brook slip, Marton hill and the one at Hampton Beech.
