ROADS UPDATE

Roads update – closure, potholes, flooding, claims etc.

A490 at Chirbury – the leak has now been fixed and concreted in. Tarmac arrives on Monday. If the wall at West House is finished, then hopefully the traffic lights will then be removed.

Binweston Lane resurfacing has been completed and it’s a great job. Well done to the crew.

Potholes in Chirbury, on the B4386 at Aston Pigott, on the B4386 at the Dudston turning, Hope Valley (before the traffic lights) and many other places have been re-reported.

Flooding near Marton Pool and at Dudston have also been reported.

There is another landslip on the road to Walton above Beechfield turning. The road is passable with care and barriered off. This is the fifth landslip in the Division. All still need fixing

Please don’t jump lights unless you are sure they are not working. It causes them the get stuck on red and then it takes a while for them to reset.

They do give advice on here but usually turn you down. If you’ve the energy don’t be fobbed off.
Get the history of the pothole. The length of time they have known about it and not done anything is important. A picture of the road and of the damage is important.
