SpArC – The trustees of the Save the SpArC Charity are aiming to raise £250k in celebration of the swimming pool being 50 years old . The aim is to improve energy efficiency, and the overall condition of the pool and to improve access. The formal launch of the fundraising campaign will be on 15th November. Further details to follow. In the meantime, a Christmas Prize Bingo, suitable for all the family, is planned for 1st December. Donations of prizes are welcome.
The charity is also appealing for any old or unwanted foreign currency which can be converted into Sterling. Coins and notes can be dropped into collection buckets in the Co-op and at SpArC from November 1st.
