I’m delighted to bring you news of another remarkable by-election victory for the Lib Dems in South Shropshire.
Colin Taylor won the Alveley & Claverley by-election last night with nearly 60% of the vote and a whopping 254 vote majority. Here’s the full result:
Colin Taylor – Lib Dems: 662
Conservatives: 408
Labour: 55
This wonderful result comes hot on the heels of Andrew Sherrington’s victory in Worfield just a few weeks ago (and Highley last year). Like Worfield, this campaign was a major team effort involving many members and supporters across Shropshire as a whole, including North Shropshire MP Helen Morgan.
