The Guest of Honour at Ludlow Lib Dems Summer Event at Ashford Carbonell Village Hall yesterday (Saturday 16 July) was Helen Morgan, the new MP for North Shropshire.
Helen was anxious to thank the great contribution that members from Ludlow made to her startling victory by-election victory last December overturning a Tory majority of nearly 23,000.
Helen said: “We have won three stunning by-election victories in a row over the Conservatives and have put this Government on notice that they seriously need to address the cost of living crisis and not tinker around the edges.”
David Gaukroger, Chair of Ludlow Lib Dems, added “I’ve participated in a number of by-elections over the years but North Shropshire was the happiest, winning in our home County as we did.”
