When we carried out a SpArC survey (pre-Covid) one of the main requests for the future was for low impact classes and activities for older people.
We have just heard that a specialised class is starting, based on strength, conditioning and balance for over 60s. The aim is to maintain and improve the strength and conditioning needed in everyday life and to delay age-related frailty and muscle weakness. As we get older, muscular strength is just as important as cardiovascular work.
A course of 6 sessions – in small groups – will be run by our very own specialists – Kletos and Jodie – and will last 45 minutes. They take place on Tuesdays at 11am. Because places are limited, the whole course has to be paid for up-front:
