Dear All
Here is the latest from Openreach on our phone lines and broadband :
I’ve been escalating this case with our contractors who’ll be carrying out the pole replacement. Openreach doesn’t have any pole teams working in this region at all, so all pole work is done through our partner, Telent.
There is a national shortage of pole teams at the moment which means all pole jobs are being delayed. I can assure you that this work does have maximum priority, but there are also other pole jobs that too have that highest level of priority, we are working through them as quickly as we possibly can. I have made the permitting team aware of your contact with the local council and that they’re looking out for when we get the permit submitted. The pole team does need to carry out their own safety survey first though and it’s this we’re just waiting on at the moment.
So we have a pole team problem. BT has confirmed this too for me.
Please keep contacting your supplier to get fault updates to keep the pressure up. If you receive this and have lost your landline, please let me know.
It is beyond me that we have no pole teams in our area.
I will put in formal complaints after we have dealt with this.
