Heather has expressed anger and dismay after a roads contractor made a shambles of the repair and refurbishment of the road through Marton for the THIRD time.
I cannot believe that they can foul up a recently straight forward resurfacing operation for the third time. I know that residents and council officers are equally dumfounded.
I have been pressing for this stretch past the Church in Marton to be done for about three years now. On both previous occasions the work had been shoddily done with tar crumbing away at the edges and potholes quickly appeared on both occasions. Council Officers insisted that the contractor (Ringway and their sub contractor Eurovia) re-do the work.
only part of the stretch in question. It looks awful. I drove through on Friday as they were packing up about 1pm and I assumed they were going to finish the job this week. It appears not.
again! And done completely not just where they felt like it.
This is a dangerous corner with a fast stretch of straight road and crumbling tarmac isn’t going to make it any safer!
