WILDLIFE GROUP GETS OFF TO A FLYING START

Despite a wild and windy night, last Wednesday (5th Feb) saw a successful meeting to form a wildlife group for the Bentlont and Hope Valley Area in Hope Village Hall.

The meeting was organised by the Stiperstones and Corndon Landscape Partnership which has been sponsoring a number of such gatherings in the area to set up a number of these groups to protect key species in the Shropshire Hill’s unique environment.

“This is one a number of groups set up by the partnership, a project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The aim is to undertake a variety of tasks to improve these species prospects of survival including surveying their numbers and identifying them, clearing vegetation and putting in nest boxes. Full training will be given .”
