The Scheme is managed by a Partnership of professional and community representatives from Shropshire and Powys and is led by the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), assisted by Shropshire Council.
The Stiperstones & Corndon Hill Country Landscape Partnership Scheme will deliver 15 projects across four programmes between April 2013 and April 2018. Each project will deliver integrated elements covering the HLF objectives of conservation and enhancement of heritage, community participation, access and learning; and opportunities for training in heritage skills. These will include initiatives to help restore habitat to wildlife (involving local schools, farmers and the wider community),heighten awareness of the areas mining past as well as training young people.
