Council have expressed anger at a Council press release that described cutting back on travel for the elderly and disabled as ‘Good Practice’.
‘s and the Administration has decided to downgrade our scheme to match them! What they fail to realise is, that in a rural area like ours pensioners rarely have the luxury of which bus to take. Now if their bus into town in before 9.30 its tough luck!
Lib Dem had vigorously opposed the downgrading of this service at every stage and will continue to press for its restoration. In the meantime they are pressing for the release to be withdrawn and an apology proffered.
