Shropshire council has finally moved to resurface what local residents dubbed the ‘worst stretch of road in Shropshire’ after lobbying from Heather Kidd.
Local Councillor Heather Kidd explained “This stretch was very poor before the bad weather with numerous patches and a generally worn surface. After the cold snap it became appalling. Many of the tar patches being lifted straight out leaving a veritable moonscape. After a string of complaints from residents I lobbied the Highways Department and I’d like to thank Gary Jones from that Department for scheduling the work so quickly.”
The stretch is on the B4499 Brockton to Minsterley Road about 1 mile south east of Brockton.
