Heather Kidd Dismayed At Climate Change Survey Result

A survey of possible Conservative MPs has revealed that they place the issue of climate change at the bottom of their list of priorities. In a poll of 141 Conservative candidates ‘Reducing Britain’s Carbon Footprint’ came 19/19 in a list of possible priorities for a Conservative government.
The survey asked what importance, on a scale of 1 to 5, candidates gave to tackling climate change. Only 8 out of 141 gave climate change the highest score.
Heather Kidd said “I am dismayed that the Tories place tackling climate change so low in their priorities. I was lost words when I read that more of their candidates thought tackling red tape was more important than tackling climate change. What point is there in addressing red tape when climate change may make the whole issue of red tape anywhere in the world irrelevant……..”
Heather continued “It is clear that what David Cameron is saying publicly is the opposite of what his candidates are saying publicly!”
