Heather today said “This is a hollow gesture as it will not happen until after next year’s general election. This is just more confirmation that Gordon Brown is merely confirming his status as a lame duck Prime Minister. Labour should be focusing on what they can do for Britain’s unemployed now, not posturing in a desperate attempt to save their own skins.”
Labour’s Employment Minister Jim Knight had announced the website would be set up as part of a package of proposals to cut Britain’s jobless total. Of course……… taxpayers will pay the bill for jobseekers to create their own page to search for jobs online. Mr Knight said the Government would also offer the jobless free computer training and internet access in their own homes.
