Pay Restraint Must Prioritise Public Sector Fat Cats

Commenting on the Public Sector rich list released by the Tax Payers’ Alliance today [Friday], Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Ludlow and Bridgnorth, Heather Kidd, said:
“With 806 public sector employees taking home more than £180m a year between them, it is clear that even in these difficult times, profligacy at the top of the public sector lives on. After more than a year in recession this country can ill afford fat cat levels of public sector pay. As we tackle the structural deficit there will have to be serious public sector pay restraint. This must be focused most severely on those at the top.”
