Conservative M.P.’s Embarrass Their Leader In NHS Poll Revelations

Results of a ComRes poll published in the Sunday Times have rocked claims made by David Cameron that the NHS would be safe and secure under any future Conservative government. A majority of Tory M.P.’s polled said that they did not believe the NHS was sustainable and wanted to see an insurance system or tax reliefs on Private Health schemes introduced
Cameron was further damaged by revelations that over half of his M.P.’s polled had private health insurance; the exact amount is probably much higher as the shadow cabinet were instructed not to reply to the Sunday Times.
Heather Kidd commented ‘This is another good example of Conservatives saying in public what they think you want to hear but planning in private for the complete opposite.’
