More on Halvan Bridge

Dear All

The Halvan Bridge exploratory work has shown that the soil beneath the Bridge arch has sunk and that the road itself has gradually become wider than the bridge itself. That means that the road edge needs to be laid properly. This is now all being put right and concrete is being pumped into it to make it completely safe.

The road closure says;
Please find below details of a temporary emergency road closure and attached diversion plan.

Road to be closed: Halvan Bridge, Snailbeach
Date: 18/01/2016 to 22/01/16 (09:30 – 14:30)
Purpose: Closure to undertake emergency trial holes for an engineer to assess and recommend permanent repair for the edge of road deterioration

I have also asked for the road closure signs to be more explicit and businesses open as usual signs to be put up.
