Charlotte Barnes’ Parachute Jump for Air Ambulance

Charlotte Barnes, Lib Dem Shropshire Councillor for Bishops Castle, is to do a parachute jump to raise money for the Air Ambulance this month.
Charlotte said “This year on the 20th August, I will turn the grand old age of 33. I realise it is not a very special birthday but I have always looked forward to turning 33. I think as a child I thought it would be the age when I really became a grown up. So I thought what can I do that would mark me turning 33 that I would never forget…. I know a parachute jump. So its all booked for the 21st August this year. It was shortly after booking the jump I remembered I have a real fear of flying, I mean a huge fear if you go on a plane I have been on you will still see the nail marks in the arm rests left there by me.

“However now for the serious bit I also think the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is so important especially for those of us living in very rural areas it is often the only chance we have of getting to the hospital in time. so if you can donate to this charity and make me go through with something that scares the life out of me I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Charlotte
