Shropshire Councillors Heather Kidd and Charlottes Barnes have called for urgent action after it was revealed that key road safety signs have been lying around in council stores for months awaiting installation.
Charlotte said “We have a major speeding problem outside Norbury Primary School. After two accidents just outside a number of months ago I persuaded the Council to install flashing school warning signs. We were promised these for last February but this then slipped to Easter. Now it transpires that they have been sitting around in Council stores whilst Shropshire’s contractors Ringway try to get their act together to get them installed!”
