Tuition Fees Likely To Rise If Labour Or The Tories Win Election

Heather Kidd has warned that both the Tories and Labour are planning to raise tuition fees if they win the forthcoming general election.
Heather said “Only the Liberal Democrats want to scrap tuition fees and we will resist any attempt to raise the cap on them. The review that has been set up by Labour’s Peter Mandleson to look at the cap is simply a conspiracy between other political parties to get the issue of tuition fees off the agenda until after the next election. This could mean that undergraduate could end up paying £7,000 a year in fees.”
“Labour’s Mandelson will simply try and stifle any debate on the future of tuition fees. It is the Liberal Democrats who want to scrap tuition fees.”
Current fees are £3,225 a year.
